Krn kite sdg bicare ttg Saha yg dupgredkang ke ting senior, bangkali ade moleknye diturunkang di sini sedikit pesanang drp Marcos yg sudoh pergi utk young Ganu players:
1. Work hard
2. Know thyself. See what the weaknesses are, try to improve and make full use of one's abilities
E.g. If u r good with your right leg, it does not mean that you don't use your left leg. So train and use both legs.
3. Follow good examples that you have seen
But not blindly or necessarily exactly. Think, adapt n apply, modify if necessary.
4. Listen to older/ experienced players
5. Interact more with foreign players, Talk more with them.
Active learning...How Marcos has developed himself:
1. Always try to get the best qualities of other players and try to follow them; they can be your team mates, or even from your opponents.
Note: Marcos admires great Brazilian players like Aldair and Galvao.
2. In life, you always have to learn and try to become batter.. Therefore, take all the opportunities to learn. Says Marcos: " I'm not like Pele but even Pele has to learn."
3. Observe, especially those who play your own "position" in the team. Get the best, make notes and/ or mental observation. Get the best view, say from the terrace...Those who are better players and play in your "position" can "teach" you something.
4. Marcos says: " I was less cool before (in the early 20s) but now with experience and the commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement, I become better and better. I just play and enjoy every game."
5. The main problem is the mind. Sometimes we have very good players but they don't trust themselves.
6. You must always enter the field thinking you can win. It remains a possiblity (for you to win) until the ref blows the final whistle.
7. The more you play (exposure), the better you can read the game.
NOTE:
Recorded in a hastily-arranged meeting before Marcos went to S'pore for a visit a few days before he left the Ganu team for good. Ends.
