Perak 2 Carlos Caceres 54, Daniel Fadzli 90 Terengganu’s ambition to win their first Super League title was severely dashed after losing at Perak to fall ten points behind runaway leaders Kedah. The champions’ win at Penang enabled them to maintain the five point gap at the top between them and their closest challengers, NS Naza and Selangor. Perak also revived their title challenge after the win despite being seven points behind. Terengganu who were level on points with Perak prior to the clash at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh were left to lick their wounds after goals from Chilean striker Carlos Caceres in the 54th minute and an injury time strike from Daniel Fadzli condemned the Turtles to their third defeat of the season. |
